For those who were cruising the Hilton this morning (because let me tell you, there is nothing like cruising the Hilton on a Monday morning) you might have seen what appeared to be every piece of terror/bomb/scary non-white people equipment that they have in the city arsenal. Given the crowd gates and general togetherness of it all, I can only assume that they were wanting to see what happened if they deployed all this shit on one block where tourists terrorists could absorb the power.
I don’t know if it’s supposed to make me feel secure, but it sure did fill me with envy, for one of these:

They were there yesterday on Taylor. My thought was that they were filming something.
(I got taken in once by a SWAT team and the bomb squad when they were filming “Trauma” in the FiDi.)
It looked more like a vendor exhibition for a homeland security convention.
Holy Jeebus, SF has a tank. Useful for the zombie apocalypse, I suppose.
