While finishing off some leftover pizza from last night, I remembered this sign I saw the other day at Supremo Pizza on O’Farrell at Jones. While an amazingly optimal use of a random cut of paper, it also works to broadcast their broad-spectrum happy announcement from 1-7PM. Never eaten there, but with such an amazing range of choices, maybe I should. While obviously much more of a “happy afternoon”, all will be also happy to know that EBT is indeed accepted.

I am pretty sure providing people with government-subsidized pizza and fries are not among the goals of the CalFresh program:
“The CalFresh Program, formerly known as Food Stamps and federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.”
That’s funny, I was right there yesterday, looking at that same sign. I thought about taking a picture very similar to this one, but got distracted and ended up shooting something else there instead.
I believe there are very similar signs at the El Tesoro in MidCity Foods and at Dona Marta…I wonder if they’re the work of the same artist? I haven’t seen this one yet, but I would suggest against supremo pizza unless you are dying for a great deal on a couple mediocre pies.
