Some PR person emailed us about this weeks ago, but shame on us, we completely forgot about it. Until this glacial San Francisco weather made us day-dream about delicious comfort foods and… zing! Two words came to mind: Show Dogs! We find it quite amusing that they describe themselves as “an emporium of sausages and other fine foods”, but the truth is that they have some truly tasty, tasty dogs (if a bit pricey).

If you haven’t tried them yet, tonight is your chance: they are hosting a special “Beer & Bites” party to support the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition’s “Great Streets Project”, which is working to improve Market Street.

A wide selection of beers on tap will be offered, including Speakeasy Prohibition Ale, Black Butte Porter, Scrimshaw Pilsner, 21st Amendment’s Hell or High Watermelon Wheat, as well as bar bites including mini Field Roast Vegetarian Dogs, Homemade Lamb Merguez Sausages, 49’er Corn Dogs, Barbeque Fries, Onion Rings and more.

Members from the Bicycle Coalition’s “Great Streets Project” will talk about Market Street’s bright future including the potential for thriving sidewalks, public spaces and shops, supported by a fully continuous and separated bikeway the length of lower Market Street and much-improved excellent transit service – a Market Street that’s fun, lively and safe!

Keeping with the theme, they are encouraging people to ride their bikes to the party and they’ll be offered complimentary valet bike parking right out front of Show Dogs.

Cost: $20 per person at the door. All inclusive of food and beverages.
When: Tonight, Thursday July 22 from 6 to 8 pm
