In TenderTruth I have no idea as to the actual cause of the fire that happened tonight on a building just a couple doors down the hill from the Nob Hill Hotel on Hyde Street, but it was enough to pull out all the engines in the area. Given the fact that this was a chance to put out an actual fire for once, it was freakin’ pandemonium in the area as it seemed like the firefighters actual gave a damn about coming to the call instead of just having to deal with some medical call for a drunk who had passed out.

I asked a few people as to what happened since I got there when they were mopping up. Apparently some kind of fire started on the roof of this building. No one really knew how or why, but it’s kinda weird given that the building actually has what appears to be a lot of commercial vacancies in it currently. We’ll see what happens, but I gotta say, it was thrilling to see firefighters being used for their intended purposes–spraying water on burning stuff.
