There’s a wonderful old-fashioned marquee above a gas station tire shop named Kahn & Keville at the corner of Larkin and Turk that always displays a proverb, a philosophical quote or a note of popular wisdom. Apparently, it’s been around for over half a century and has become quite the San Francisco institution. Here are a few examples of messages from the last few months:

Since I only pass by this crossing from time to time, I don’t know how often the quotes change. Maybe someone can tell us more about it? And if some readers recall other tire station marquee literature, please let us know in the comments!
